Sergio Wenzel Terry
Co-founder and CEO of AeroPerú Virtual. Leads the airline vision, operational standards, platform development, and the revival of AeroPerú’s classic legacy within the virtual aviation community, combining real-world airline experience with a lifelong passion for flight simulation.
Professional long-haul airline Captain with more than 11,000 flight hours and a career built through discipline, resilience, continuous development, and a deep passion for aviation. After completing university studies, Sergio began his professional pilot training in Peru in 2008, flying Cessna training aircraft and earning his Commercial Pilot Licence at Master of the Sky Peru. In 2010, he joined LAN Perú as an Airbus A320 Family First Officer, beginning his airline career in commercial operations. His aviation journey has been shaped by teamwork, motivation, adaptability, and the ability to perform under pressure in complex operational environments.
In 2014, Sergio moved to the Middle East to join one of the world’s major international airlines, continuing initially on the Airbus A320 Family before transitioning to the Boeing 777 as First Officer. He later achieved command on the Boeing 787/777 fleet and now serves as a long-haul airline Captain. His experience includes Cessna training aircraft, Airbus A320 Family operations, Boeing 777, Boeing 787, international long-haul operations, CRM, SOP discipline, aircraft systems awareness, operational risk management, threat and error management, and high-standard decision-making in demanding airline environments. With a strong passion for flight simulation and classic airline operations, Sergio co-founded AeroPerú Virtual with Benjamin to preserve and revive the classic legacy of AeroPerú for a new generation of virtual pilots.
